Historic farmhouse Mid-Limburg
This historic farm complex in central Limburg is embedded in a particularly valuable natural landscape. The estate includes meadows, forests, tree lines, hedgerows, ditches, and ponds, covering a total of approximately ten hectares.
The garden design builds on the existing nature, enhancing its presence deep into the heart of the project. Formal interventions are limited and are only used to support the natural structure. The variety of landscape elements sustains a rich and diverse ecosystem, highlighted in spring by the thousands of blooming orchids.
The inner garden evolves into a lush, flowering space with roses, perennials, and native herbs that seem to grow from the outside in. The natural pond has also been redesigned to increase biodiversity and provide greater opportunities for species such as the great crested newt.
